Purpose of This Note
This technical note discusses the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS)
performance of Gamry’s multiplexed EIS systems. Two basic impedance experiments show
the limitations and the changes in EIS performance when Gamry’s Electrochemical
Multiplexer ECM8 is connected to a potentiostat.
It further discusses the impacts of these limitations on research in the areas of coatings and
energy storage devices.
